Sound travels much like the flow of air – when it encounters hills and valleys, it undergoes changes and attenuation.

Taking inspiration from this natural phenomenon, we developed the Wavemaker Diffuser. By mimicking how sound waves move through varied terrain, we were able to gain better control over sound propagation and reconstruction.

The Wavemaker’s undulating form is inspired by the contours of mountain landscapes. Its uneven surface allows sound waves to undergo complex refraction and diffusion, effectively scattering the audio. Paired with a layer of acoustic fabric lining the base, this distinctive peak-and-valley structure regulates and transforms the sound waves, balancing diffusion and mild absorption.

This contoured design enables the Wavemaker to efficiently diffuse sound across a wide frequency range. Combining it with QRD technology for full-spectrum treatment, the Wavemaker provides effective diffusion and absorption within the critical audio bandwidth. This helps even out the soundfield and refine audio clarity.
